Critical Mass Fri. 26 Aug. Glasgow

A bit rainy this month, didn't stop the stalwarts though. There was about 12 or so of us and we had a good run, no cops, dished out a few fliers. The thing I notice is, each Friday, there are always different people on the run, new people to meet contacts to be made. What would be amazing though if occasionally we were all there at the one time. It is coming into the rainy season, maybe we should start to think about getting the idea across to the motorist, other bikers and the public of what critical Mass means. We need signs, clever bumff and imagination. Post your ideas here...

critical mass is not attended by anyone from the organisation who pretend to promote cycling e.g. Cycling Scotland, the Green party, sustrans, the cycling development at the council nor Community Can Cycle (should be community can't cycle). We need to shame the authorities into doing what they are paid to do.

Good point.

Dont underestimate the power of word of mouth either... I dont know how the Glasow critical mass is organised, it wouldnt take much to print out some flyers, leave a bundle at where the monkey sleeps, office receptions, Uni's etc...
